Rosie Barker is a Los Angeles-based design studio that creates artwork, clothing, and home goods out of salvaged textiles.

Established in 2022 by artist and designer Rose Ponizil, Rosie Barker was founded to continue the dialogue around how we consume, and the afterlife of the products we purchase.

Rosie Barker is the evolution of Rose’s first brand, Rosa Swim, a collection of limited edition swimwear and lingerie made using deadstock fabrics. Rose believes that sustainability is much more than just the textiles we use, it’s about intentional consumption. This translates to sharing sewing techniques, pdf patterns and education because when you create something from scratch, that fits your body just right, you are less likely to throw it away.

Rosie Barker’s debut collection features a series of hand-sewn quilts featuring improv patchwork from a combination of collected fabric scraps including pandemic-era face masks and hemp linen remnants, animating the studio’s ethos of making beautiful works of art with as little waste as possible.
